Director of Innovation and Community Health, Harbor Health Services
“I joined BACH because I want to help create opportunities for immigrants and minorities to find their voice and take part in finding solutions to Public Health issues in Boston.”
Ryan works for the Community Health Center division of Harbor Health Services overseeing the implementation of Social Services, Public Health Initiatives and Grant Programs in the Dorchester, Plymouth and Hyannis areas. In his capacity, he is also responsible for conducting needs assessments, developing strategic plans and grant applications to support the mission of the agency to reduce disparities and promote health and social equity in the communities being served. Ryan is also an Adjunct Instructor at Quincy College where he teaches in the schools of Liberal Arts and Professional Programs.
Ryan is originally from Brazil where he earned undergraduate degrees in Communications and Education. He moved to the Boston area in 1999 and has since earned a Master’s in Education from Cambridge College and a Master’s in Public Administration from Suffolk University. Ryan has twenty years of teaching experience and thirteen years of Non-Profit management experience. He is proud to represent the LGBT and Latino communities through his involvement with BACH.
