1. Understand how engaging stakeholders, community members, and elected officials in your work can promote PSE change

This training addresses the following MA DPH coalition Criteria:
1. Participation from key stakeholders (individuals and organizations that have a vested stake or interest in a program or policy initiative, e.g. it will impact them directly)

Community Health Education Center – Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing provides an alternative approach to confrontation as a means of promoting change. Motivational Interviewing combines an empathic style of interviewing with behavioral strategies for helping clients make change. You will learn key principles, techniques and tools of Motivational Interviewing. You will also have the opportunity to practice these techniques with each other.
