Ambassadors

Mobolizing residents to take legeslative action…

In April of 2016, BACH piloted the Ambassadors program which is designed to motivate Boston residents to take legeslative action. Ambassadors are residents who are actively engaged in their neighborhoods and work to connect with and mobilize their neighbors around key health polices affecting their communities. Ambassadors live in Dorchester, East Boston, Roxbury, and South End.

This program aims to:

  • Connect Boston residents with organizations in their neighborhoods;
  • Raise awareness on public policy work directly affecting their community;
  • Encourage resident participation in advocacy efforts related to community health improvement;
  • Build a base of constituents ready to take action.
